Hi Gerry, I do know the Cafe H2O, particularly as we meet there occasionally with an old friend who lost a leg and needs the extra facilities it provides, and the easy access trail which is such a boon to those with only wheelchair or scooter mobility. I’m impressed by your running – uphill so far! I stopped running a couple of years ago, and can’t seem to motivate myself to start again. Most of my outdoor activities are walking and sketching!

I know this area intimately, Chris. For the last five years I’ve been running there. We usually park at Cafe H2O at Wyche Cutting and run up the Beacon, round North Hill, then back up the Beacon and down to the Cafe. It’s an excellent cafe. This is where I met and was recruited into MMVC because the choir sings at the Cafe’s 9 Lessons and carols at Christmas. But I’m sure you’ve visited it?

Hi Chris,
Simply a beautiful architectural rendering. I was wondering, how much detail do you put into your pencil layout of the subject before you start the watercolor? And do you prepare tonal and color workups prior to the final?

Wow! Utterly stunning! Fascinating to see how you prepared the designs and overcame technical challenges eg frozen paint (!!!)The villa picture is lovely (and all the architectural detail!) – as we might expect And the Hoodie Hunter with his friendly dog and dignified stag are wonderful. I will visit Chedworth Villa especially this summer to see this. CONGRATULATIONS.
